“Believers” staged reading May 1 in San Francisco

Believers will receive a staged reading as part of Wily West Productions New Play Festival, at Stage Werx in San Francisco.

Sunday, May 1 at 2 pm in San Francisco, at Stage Werx Theatre.

Love. Drugs. Unexpected side effects.

Rockwell Wise hopes to create a love vaccine so he never again will feel the pain of heartbreak. His worst fears are activated when his former beloved, Grace Wright, shows up to work in his lab. Can he develop the vaccine in time to avert another heartbreak?

Believers takes place in a dystopian future where the intersection of pharmaceuticals, religion, and romance delivers a prescription-strength dose of whacked-out comedy. It is inspired by the Grimm’s fairy tale “The Frog King.”
